Inspirational Words Card

Some days we need a little “pick me up” or an “inspirational word” that gets us out of a slump we may be in or feeling down about something.  My Pink Stamper’s “More Faithful Sayings” stamp set has ity bity words of encouragement that can be used alone or combine them to create a perfect sentiment.

I was playing around with some stamps and my copic markers this evening adding a little stickles, bling and doodles and I have a cute little card.  I chose the words of encouragement that I was feeling as I made this card.

This card measures 5 by 5.50

The daisy stamp is from the Michael’s $ bin and the butterfly is part of a stamp set I have.  I used copic markers to color in the areas and shaded with C1 around both stamped images to give a little more definition.  I doodled everything up with my black copic markers – fine tips.  I added stickles to the center of the flower, the vase and butterfly wings for sparkle.

For the bow I used a piece of green (with white stitching) ribbon, folded in center and cut the tales in a “flag” design.  To adhere to the card I stuck it in between the white layer and striped layer (secured with a couple of staples for extra stability.  The bows were pretty simple to create by looping, gathering and then using my tiny attacher (by Tim Holtz) to secure the center.  I used my Fabric Tack glue to adhere to the card.  I placed a gem in the center of the bows to hide the staples and add some fun.  Corner punch is Ribbon Loop by Martha Stewart.

For my words of encouragement I chose 4 sentiments out of the More Faithful Sayings set by My Pink Stamper and stamped using Hot Pink ink.
