First Layout with Cricut

Hi everyone! I wanted to tell you about a brand new message board that I have found to be a LOT of fun ~ it’s called ~ ~ I recommend that you check it out when you have some time and tell them that CraftJunkieToo referred you.
The board is dedicated to crafts, creating, sharing and designing as well as a place for friendships, support and sharing. They also have some fun challenges to bring out our creative side. Here is a layout I did for this weeks color challenge. Every Tuesday is Color Challenge Tuesday. Our Color Challenge coordinator which is Robyn, The Pink Stamper gives us 3 colors plus an accent color to create something with (card, page, etc.) so this week I participated in my very first challenge. I am proud of how it turned out. Of course, the picture does not capture the details.
For this layout I started with the 3 colors assigned (blue, rose/pink, spring green and the accent was chocolate brown). I had this picture of my boys in the Texas bluebonnets this spring and thought it’d make a cute page. I then used some stamps with Big Brother for my oldest and Little Brother for my toddler.
I used the Cricut Stretch Your Imagination cartridge for the “Spring” word with rose tulips and Mickey Font for the year 2009. Oh yes, and I included one of my favorite scrapping items with my cuttlebug – I ran some of the papers through my cuttlebug embossing folders for some added texture. It was fun!
